Chennai-based Eonour Software is in the advanced stage of finalizing
the fund arrangement for acquiring a US company involved in e-com consulting.
Eonour is in negotiations with a big fund in Europe and some private groups
and high net worth individuals for funds. The deal is expected to be a
cash-stock transaction and the company hopes to complete the acquisition
in another four months. The new company is expected to bring Eonour instant
access to a big clientele.
The company is also in the process of acquiring a Mumbai-based company
involved in telecom and automation software.
Eonour Software has informed the Madras Stock Exchange (MSE) that it proposes
to place its equity shares on a preferential basis up to 12 crore.
Mr. R. Karthik, CEO, Eonour Software says growth through acquisitions
might be a costlier route but it helps the company in getting good valuations
from investors, apart from saving valuable time.
Eonour software was previously known as Mikagura Software, before Mr.
Karthik took over this Indore-based company and renamed it with a strong
focus on overseas revenues. The company is gung-ho about its prospects
in the US and south -east Asia especially Korea and Singapore. The company
is also planning to open overseas offices in US, UK and Hong Kong and
hopes to garner 90 per cent of its total revenue from overseas.
The company is involved in providing B2B e-commerce solutions after conducting
a business process re-engineering, thus enabling a customer-specific solution.
The company also provides Web-based security solutions and security audit.
The company has been using its domain expertise in the area of supply
chain management and has also developed a dealer network automation (DNA)
product. DNA is a product used in any dealership oriented industry, linking
the dealers with the production center.
Eonour has been focusing on the automobile industry, implementing dealer
automation for Hero Honda, Kinetic, Honda Siel and M&M and plans to use
these prestigious projects to leverage orders from overseas. Eonour's
subsidiary eonour.com plans to be an "ASP on the Web," according to Mr.
Karthik. The site enables small & medium enterprises (SMEs) to start its
business on the Web by providing facilities such as website creation,
product listing, business listing apart from sales and account packages
free of cost on the Net.
